**Description of organisation**:
Artistic Strategies Academy is an English writing school that grooms and mentors young writers through the arts (drama, movement, visual arts, clay-making & more). We are the first in Singapore to marry the arts and writing and we have published more than 30 of our students' children's books. Several of our students have also won both international and local writing competitions.
- Able to teach on weekday afternoons, weekends
- Willing to travel to assigned and preferred location(s). We have 4 locations: Bedok, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang and Bukit Timah. **(Current openings for: Bukit Timah, Wednesday and Saturday & Bedok, Wednesday)**

**You have**:

- A degree in the Arts and Humanities or equivalent

Training will be provided if you are shortlisted to enrol in our Apprenticeship Teaching programme which will last 1-2 months.

**The Apprenticeship Teaching Programme will enable you to**:

- Master facilitation skills while facilitating writing and creative activities for 6-14 year-olds in small groups online
- Empower children to achieve their goals and to be their best selves
- Interact with and skilfully guide a diverse range of young minds
- Instil in the students a love for the English language
- Harness creativity and critical thinking skills in the future generations of Singapore to become confident communicators
- Partner with parents to ensure quality and holistic education for their children

**The programme will be carried out via video tutorials, a live training session and on-the-job training (a practicum) where you actually get to interact and teach students from our academy while getting feedback to refine your teaching craft.**

**Successful graduates of this programme will receive**:
1) Payment for time spent in the programme

2) A Certificate of Achievement

3) An Invitation to be a full-fledged teacher at ASA

**FAQ**

1) How many days must I work?

At least 2 or 3 classes per week. Each class is 1.5 hours.

2) Is there any work I must do beyond or after class?
- You would be required to key in comments on the students' performance after every class within 24 hours of the class.
- Marking is usually completed in class but occasionally if the marking can't be completed, you might be required to take it back.

3) How many students would I be required to teach?

There will be a maximum of four students to 1 teacher for face-to-face classes and a maximum of two students to 1 teacher for online classes.

4) Salary

From $15.00 per hour(during training) and from $50 per lesson (min of 2 students, rates increase as the number of students increases) upon graduating from the Apprenticeship programme.
