**Roles & Responsibilities**

**About the Job**

You will discharge the duties and responsibilities of the office consistent with the principles, standards accordance to the Orders and Regulations of The Salvation Army. You will conduct the affairs of the office responsibly and efficiently and motivate staff to do likewise.

You will conduct all activities of the office with a view to accomplishing the mission of The Salvation Army as described in its mission statement and in accordance with the Territorial Strategic Mission Plan.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop local plans and strategies and gain commitment to the mission and evangelistic emphasis of The Salvation Army with the Corps and wider community.
- Implementing a proactive pastoral care process which ensures all needs are addressed in a timely and sensitive manner.
- Demonstrating sensitivity and responsiveness to human resource issues.
- Ensuring personnel are trained and equipped to fulfil current, future and specific roles of ministry, leadership and service.
- Provide a positive and credible representation of The Salvation Army and its purpose to the Corps and to the wider community, in co-operation with and in accordance with established procedures and policies.
- Demonstrating responsible and competent management practice, ensuring a high degree of integrity and accountability.
- Assist in managing and monitoring the Corps finances to ensure compliance with the approved budget and audit requirements.
- Establishing and sustaining internal and external fund-raising activities.
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting to Territorial Headquarters.
- Leading Corps meetings and conducting ceremonies as required.
- Providing well-prepared, culturally relevant services of worship.

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum a Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in pastoral care.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with members
- Organisational skills
- Analytical ability
- Problem solving skills

**Work hours**:
8.30am - 5pm
