As a Rehabilitation and Protection Officer, you influence and shape lives, and in the process, the future of the rehabilitation and protection landscape in Singapore. To support your professional development, you will receive comprehensive training and develop foundational capabilities and knowledge on rehabilitation and protection work. You will also be given the opportunities to rotate to different exciting roles within RPG and broaden your perspectives, skills and experiences.
As part of the RPG Family, Youth Residential Service (YRS) is responsible for the rehabilitation, protection and reintegration of youth placed in secure care at the Singapore Boys’ Home (SBH) and Singapore Girls’ Home (SGH). The Homes are gazetted as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre for youth offenders dealt with by the Youth Court and as a Place of Safety for youths admitted on a Family Guidance Order, Care and Protection Order or under the Women’s Charter.

**What you will be working on**
- You will be responsible in managing youths who have been placed in residential care. You will work with these youths and their family to strengthen their socio-emotional development and social networks, and prepare them for reintegration into the community.
The Caseworker will be based in Singapore Girls’ Home.
Your work includes the following:
a. Case management: formulating and implementing care plans for youths under your charge
b. Conduct intervention programmes with youths and their caregivers in both individual and group settings
c. Work closely with stakeholders such as caregivers, school authorities, employers and community partners to address risks’ and needs identified

**What we are looking for**
- a. Min bachelor’s degree in social sciences preferably with related experience;
b. At least 1 year of experience working in the social service industry;
c. Comfortable in spoken and written English as the position requires regular preparation and presentation of reports;
d. Good interpersonal and communication skills;
e. Good analytical skills and the ability to influence effectively;
f. A team player who is able to work independently; and
g. Self-motivated and resourceful
