**What the role is**
- The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) provides services for the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders and the protection of children and families. We are passionate and committed to making a difference in the lives of these children, youths and families and are looking for like-minded individuals who share the same passion as us to join our dynamic and life-changing team. As part of the RPG family, the Youth Residential Service (YRS) is responsible for the rehabilitation, protection and reintegration of youths placed in secure care at the Singapore Boys’ Homes (SBH).

**What you will be working on**What we are looking for**
- Functional/Technical Competencies - Tertiary qualification - Experience working in an institution, or with groups of at-risk youths and/ or challenging youths - Youth-savvy, with strong interest and commitment in working and caring for challenging youths - Efficient with organisational skills and able to leverage on technology - Able to conduct risk assessment and maintain situational awareness when on duty, and respond appropriately and promptly in challenging situations. Generic Competencies - Able to command presence and respect - Able to maintain consistent stand and respond to residents firmly and calmly and is not easily intimidated, - Good physical stamina: Able to run distances to reach scenes of emergencies and climb multiple stairs daily when performing duties - Analytical mindset with problem solving and decision-making skills - Resilient and able to handle stress with high emotional stability - Able to communicates effectively with good listening skills - Adaptable and alert, and understands when to escalate complex issues
