Job Description: Senior Logistics Assistant
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Logistics Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Logistics Assistant, you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain operations and ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including procurement, warehousing, transportation, and production, to streamline logistics processes and enhance overall operational performance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and Monitor Shipments: Oversee the transportation and delivery of goods to ensure timely and accurate shipments. Track shipments, address any delays or issues, and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and implement effective inventory control measures to minimize carrying costs and avoid stockouts.
- Logistics Planning: Collaborate with the logistics team to develop and implement logistics strategies, including route optimization, carrier selection, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all shipping and logistics-related documentation is accurately maintained and comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Supplier Management: Work closely with suppliers and freight forwarders to negotiate pricing, resolve any logistics-related discrepancies, and build strong relationships to enhance efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for process improvement within the logistics function and implement streamlined procedures to increase productivity and reduce errors.
- Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate potential logistics-related risks, such as disruptions in transportation, customs issues, or natural disasters, to ensure continuity of operations.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the logistics team, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation, to maintain a high-performing and motivated workforce.
**Requirements**:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications will be considered a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a minimum of [X] years in a similar senior role.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of logistics processes, shipping regulations, inventory management, and supply chain best practices.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics and inventory management software systems. Experience with ERP systems and transportation management systems (TMS) is advantageous.

- Problem-Solving: Proven problem-solving skills to address logistics challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in logistics documentation and inventory management.
