**Senior Actuary, Regional Life and Health**:

**Location**

Based in our Singapore Regional Hub, the Senior Actuary supports the regional Chief Operating Officer (Life and Health) in advising the business units in the region on reinsurance contract wording, terms of trade and portfolio performance, as well as contributing to ad hoc projects conducted in the region.

Your job
- support business units in gaining insights from biometric experience analyses and book-research into biometric factors
- advise business units on converting retrospective biometric studies into prospective “terms of trade”
- provide regional management with an assessment as to the applicability of the final “terms of trade” proposed by the business units
- support the development of templates for reinsurance contracts
- provide regional management with an assessment of the impact of any material deviations from these templates
- work with “Treaty Wording Experts” and the legal team to provide training to business units on the drafting or reinsurance contracts
- maintain and enhance the existing infrastructure for monitoring the financial performance of the in-force portfolios
- contribute to ad hoc projects in the region, such as putting in place a reporting framework, providing management information to support business decisions.

**Profile**:

- an actuarial fellowship qualification
- 10 to 15 years of experience in life insurance / reinsurance
- a thorough understanding of life insurance principles and products in the region (Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australia)
- experience in biometric analysis and actuarial assumption setting
- experience in drafting legal contracts (preferably reinsurance treaties)
- experience in monitoring the financial performance of an insurance portfolio
- technical computing skills (including knowledge of databases and visualization software)
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- strong interpersonal skills
- strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
