**Your day to day**
The purpose of the role is to drives the strategic growth of IHG Brands in SEAK to achieve IHG’s growth ambition and the role incumbent is/will be IHG’s ambassador and primary corporate development representative for Korea.
- Develop and drive country specific growth strategies to deliver IHG’s short
- and longer-term growth ambition.
- Builds trusted partnerships and drives alignment with internal & external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and deliver the growth ambition.
- Structure, negotiate, and sign definitive contracts of single unit transaction or portfolio for conversions or new builds to (i) maximize value creation for IHG and (ii) lay a strong foundation for handover to internal teams.
- Responsible for the end-to-end development cycle which includes (i) relationship building and networking with owner/development communities, (ii) deal sourcing/hunting, evaluation, pitching, structuring, integration, closing; and (iii) handover to internal IHG stakeholders.
- Be IHG’s ambassador and primary corporate development representative for Korea.
- Establish the Korea desk for SEAK to forge relationships with Korean investors and attract Korea funded projects for IHG
**What we need from you** Education**
- Qualification in either Hotel Management, BS / BA in Business, Finance, or Real Estate; or equivalent experience.
**Experience**
- Minimum 8-years of experience in hotel development, hotel investment/ acquisition, hotel management or hospitality or management consulting firm, investment banking or other capital markets related function.
- Knowledge of financing principles and deal structuring as well as hotel real estate market.
- Knowledge of hotel operations highly desired.
- Must have proven track record of deal flow/closure; knowledge of management / franchise contracts and joint venture agreements.
**Technical Skills and Knowledge**
- Leadership skills, confident, critical thinker, savvy, and strong influencing, analytical, negotiation, communication and consensus-building skills, effective presentation and interpersonal skills, financial modeling and report writing skills.
- Multi-lingual - Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Requires international travel.
- Ability to carry out financial analysis to evaluate deals effectively.
- Requires strong internal functional relationships and understanding of IHG internal processes and brand standards.
