Cost Engineer

**The Role**:
**What’s the role?**

As a Cost Engineer, your key accountabilities include the following:

- Develop Projects, Maintenance & Turnaround Event budgets (CAPEX & OPEX), implement cost controls and responsible for its forecast at completion for all phases.
- Provide Cost support to the Maintenance Turnaround Construction (MTAC) group and Project Group.
- Downstream Projects and Turnaround Work Processes
- Projects and Turnaround Estimating and Budgeting Recommended Practices
- Projects and Turnaround Cost Control Recommended Practices
- Projects and Turnaround Finance Standards
- Maintenance Work Processes
- Estimating, cost control, reporting and forecasting at the project portfolio level and provide management reports to the Project Team and Project Manager. Identify issues & propose solution.
- Responsible for the assembly of budgets for all assigned Turnaround Events for all phases from planning until Turnaround Completion, compliant with the recommended practice, including proratables for project allocation with Turnaround.
- Compile and timely reporting of site/department cost reports, KPI, Capex and project latest estimate.

**What we need from you**

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor’s degree (minimum and accredited) of any conventional Engineering Discipline, Project & Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
- 5 Years + Experience in planning & executing projects and/or turnarounds.
- Has experience with budgeting, contract, and procurement management.
- Key Skills:

- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer focus.
- Works effectively in a Team environment and build consensus.
- Computer skills - PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, GSAP, Excel, Project Controls Tools.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Create and manage change.
