The Syndicated Loans and Mobilization Department is responsible for raising external funds for IFC's borrowers through the B Loan program, Parallel Loans, Credit Insurance Policies, the Managed Co-Lending Portfolio Program (MCPP"), and Debt Securities. Our syndications partners are international and local commercial banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFI"), funds, and institutional investors. The Department is also responsible for the ongoing syndicated loan portfolio management engagements with third-party investors. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the regional Syndications Asia Pacific team as a Senior Syndications Officer, to be based in Singapore. S/he will report to the Head of Syndications for Asia and the Pacific. The Senior Syndications Officer will take primary responsibility for the syndications process and sometimes portfolio on challenging projects in the region, mentor more junior staff on their projects, as well as assist the Head on strategy for the region or strategic initiatives, while partnering at senior levels with deal origination teams. **Roles and Responsibilities** - Syndicate IFC originated senior debt to international commercial or local banks, other development finance institutions, funds, institutional investors, and credit insurers. - Advise investment teams across Asia and the Pacific on appropriate syndication strategy for deals (e.g., the use of B Loans, Parallel Loans, MCPP, credit insurance) across corporate financings and project financings in all sectors from infrastructure to manufacturing and financial institutions. - Support the Head on strategy for the region, as well as strategic initiatives. - Mentor and coach analysts and associates within the syndications team. - international lending markets and banking activities to understand and anticipate trends. Regularly and proactively share market information with IFC colleagues. - Conduct industry and bank market research and pricing data analysis, including secondary market pricing; lead the preparation of regular pricing reports for syndicated loans. - Conduct deal-specific market soundings to advise IFC project team on deal structure and pricing; develop syndication strategy for individual transactions including the list of prospective partners. - Review company, economic and financial information and legal documentation for new transactions. - Directly prepare and/or lead the preparation of information memoranda, executive summaries and other reports for the bank market in collaboration with relevant Investment Department. - Manage assigned syndicated loan portfolio by providing high-quality service to co-lenders on ongoing project work (amendments, waivers, restructurings, information transmission on key developments, responding to inquiries), ensuring contractual responsibilities with co-lenders are being met while maintaining strong relationships. - Expand the pool of syndications partners to maximize delivery to IFC's borrowers, including new investors, new types of investors, and in broadened currencies, while maintaining strong relationships with existing partners. Selection Criteria - M.B.A. or equivalent master's level degree in finance - At least 10-12 years of relevant work experience including broad exposure to corporate and project finance, capital markets, and the syndicated loan market in emerging markets, with experience across Asia a plus. - Direct experience in debt syndications with a deep understanding of the international and local commercial banks, institutional investors, asset managers, and public lenders. - Mastery of lending products, including the terms, voting rights, credit considerations, and portfolio management of senior loans, bonds, and other associated instruments such as credit insurance. - Ability to form syndications strategy, both deal-level and country specific, and summarize market intelligence and trends, including from Dealogic - Loan Analytics, Bloomberg and market publications. - Strong team collaborator, with experience mentoring analysts and associates as a core component of deliverables. - Proactive, resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize effectively and adhere to deadlines whi
