The Planner/Buyer is responsible for material planning as well as responsible for and managing purchasing, materials requirements planning, supplier relationship management, product life cycle and service design, among other things.

This position is part of the Supply Chain and will be located in Tuas, Singapore.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:
Optimize production planning to maximize outputs and optimise the inventory with accuracy to minimize scrap/waste/variance; Analyze raw materials and components demand in order to provide forecast to the vendors and execute the purchases according to the schedule.

Establish insights and analyses in inventory profile, safety stock level, minimum order quantities, material lead time, etc. to optimize the planning parameters and inventory management by partnering with the production, engineering and logistic team to establish robust material flow based on Danaher Material System.

Hold weekly supply meetings to review OTD, Past Due and Recovery Plans and the key metrics by leveraging PSP, IMAG, Kanban, PSI, Heijunka, etc.

Support the production transfer project/engineering improvements/product launches and take charge of the production launch inventory planning.

Lead/participate in continuous improvement projects, including taking the lead as the key user in ERP implementation for the site.

**The essential requirements of the job include**:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Science preferred, with more than 5 years of experience in related production planning roles.

Mastery of Microsoft productivity suites. Advanced competency in Excel is a must.

Competency in dashboard reporting tools, Qlikview, Tableau and Power BI with in-depth analytics capability; SAP - MM, PP, WM and SD.

Ability to navigate through ambiguity to solve complex challenges.

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:
Solving complex challenges and navigating through ambiguity - identify root cause via analytical and methodological processes. Hands-on experience in Lean/problem-solving tools, e.g. DMAIC, VOC, and control charts.

APICS or ISM certification (CPIM, CSCP or equivalent)
