Singapore MITSUBISHI CORPORATION RTM INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. Full time

Core duties and responsibilities of the individual will be executing existing business and developing new business opportunities for the commodity on a global scale and in alignment with Headquarter (Mitsubishi Corporation) as well as to manage the day-to-day functions of the Base Metals division in alignment with organizational objectives including strategy planning and budget management.

**Responsibilities**:
1.Base Metals Trading
- Engage in Copper, Zinc and Molybdenum trading by covering both physical trade transactions and hedging in futures markets.
- Collaborates with team members and support functions such as Legal Compliance, Trade Operations and Risk teams.

2. Business Development
- Assess, Identify, and develop businesses with new suppliers, counterparties, and new business models such as structured trades, and new entity establishments.
- Achieve a diversified portfolio to ensure long and mid-term growth for the commodity.

3. Establish Trading Capability
- Enhance the division’s trading capability by implementing new trading methods such as domestic trades and blending operations.

4. Budgeting and Reporting
- Develops business strategies and plans budgets for the division.
- Collaborates with colleagues from Mitsubishi Corporation Tokyo to align overall group directions with RtM teams globally.
- Prepare and submit reports requested by Mitsubishi Corporation Tokyo.

5. Risk Management
- Monitors counterparties’ performance, mitigates risks and manages the book’s exposure to relevant counterparties and regions.
- Ensures division’s exposure is at a manageable level.

6. Market Intelligence
- Establishes networks and builds good reports with industry players.
- Consolidate market research and reports to the Global teams where relevant.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of relevant base metals and trading business experience and possesses in-depth knowledge of the industry and trading.
- Understands LME futures and hedging operations well.
- Strong networks and good relationships with industry players.
- High level of negotiation skills
- Tactical and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Analytical, able to identify risks and propose ways to mitigate them.
- Strong and proven management experience as well as leadership skills.
- Business proficiency in spoken and written English and Japanese. Japanese proficiency is required due to the scope of liaison with Mitsubishi Corporation Tokyo and reports preparation in Japanese.
- Proficient in Spanish and Chinese would be an added advantage due to market presence of the commodity.
