Mis and Data Specialist

**Job Purpose**
- The person is primarily responsible in supporting the Head of Retail Risk to address the data, MIS and reporting requirements with respect to the risk function in the Retail and SME business of the entity. The person is also responsible in addressing concerns of the Infrastructure, Analytics and Strategy requirements of the respective risk function.
- Key support for development of platforms/risk-relevant systems, including but not limited to datawarehouse, lending origination system, financial recognition and measurement for Country and Group initiated projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

Enhance Shareholders' Value (Financial)
- Ensure retail credit risk is within the Risk Appetite of the Group with adequate monitoring.
- Provide insights on retail portfolio risk and project management to support Group and Country initiatives with focus on Risk Reporting and Infrastructure.
- Advise Singapore Retail Risk Head of any credit and loss events emanating in the portfolio.

Internal Business Process
- Incorporate development, implementation and maintenance of risk management reporting in line with the retail business environment and products.
- Develop and review risk datamart and models to facilitate managed business growth in line with Group risk appetite.
- Provide business support on planning, forecasting and operation target tracking through appropriate MIS, risk appetite triggers, and product reviews.
- Manage portfolio metrics through the incorporation of Basel and FRS requirements for risk forecasting.
- Manage portfolio dashboard updates and coordinate with key Portfolio Risk COEs and Business stakeholders.

Customer
- Ensure close coordination with Group/Country counterpart relationships are strategically forward looking, highly collaborative and productive.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business management, business support heads and other areas of risk management both domestically and regionally. Ensure relationships are strategically forward looking, highly collaborative and productive.
- Be a constructive and engaged member of the risk management team.
- Be proactive and supportive of regional/country risk projects e.g. Basel implementation, Risk Playbook etc.
- Provide good support to colleagues both with risk and in other functions (i.e. Business Decision Management, Product & Portfolio Team, and Finance.
- Central engagement point for Management Information Reporting and Data for Retail Risk Singapore and related intra and inter-functional matters.
- Reliever and backup to any team member absence.

MIS and Risk Infrastructure Specific:

- Further develop and improve the structure and requirements of the Retail Risk datamarts.
- Optimize the process of generating the decks and dashboards, thru automation and/or optimal use of technical resources available.
- Manage end to end delivery of projects and system enhancements for MIS reporting services across Country and Group requirements.
- Work with stakeholders across various functions to deliver technology solutions to address business needs.
- Prepare artefacts in accordance to Group Risk’s / Singapore Consumer’s project lifecycle framework and documents.
- Track project status, especially tasks to ensure delivery is on track. Provide regular project update to stakeholders and management.
- Define project scope, formulate detail project plan and seek stakeholder’s agreement for sign off.
- Facilitate business requirement, data sourcing and solution analysis discussions with users, vendors and upstream data source teams.
- Document users’ requirements; review functional and technical specifications prepared by vendors.
- Lead technical discussions with other technical teams, including vendor during the architecture design definition.
- Coordinate with the various teams for the system environment setup.
- Coordinate production release and provide post implementation support
- Manage production incidents and work with vendor to deliver fixes
- Highlight and escalate risk issues to relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Enhance Retail Risk Monitoring to ensure that all the key portfolio performance indicators and triggers are monitored regularly.
- Enhance Portfolio management frameworks by introducing applicable metrics that drive business decisions in the overall credit risk process/strategies.
- Support preparation information requests from internal/external auditor and regulator/s.
- Provide support on business planning, forecasting through appropriate MIS, risk appetite formulation, and product reviews.
- Proactive participation in Portfolio MIS and Data Infrastructure-related projects in line with Group and Country initiatives.
