**Roles & Responsibilities**

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Works closely with enterprise architects, other functional area architects and security specialists to ensure adequate security solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.
- Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
- Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts and prepare system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
- Evaluates and develops secure solutions and analyse business impact and exposure, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks.
- Must be a professional security management certified on Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- 10 to 15 years of combined IT and security work experience, with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multiplatform environments.
- Expert knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms. Specifically, architect should have deep experience with the following concepts; Network Security, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Protocols, Networking Standards, Supervision, Conceptual Skills, Decision Making, Informing Others, Functional and Technical Skills, Dependability, Information Security Policies
- Knowledge of security-specific architecture methodologies and frameworks such as ISO 27001
- Must be well versed on the following technologies and capabilities:IDS/IPS,Identity & Access Management,DDoS Mitigation strategies,Threat and Vulnerability Management through the use of scanning technologies such as Rapid7, Nessus, or Qualys.,Security Information Event Management (SIEM),Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
