Singapore IFCHOR (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. Full time

Shipbroking trainee at IFCHOR Group (Singapore) a top-tier international shipbroking group active in the dry bulk and tanker markets is looking for an intern to support its shipbroking activities in Singapore. Our Singapore based team addresses the daily chartering needs of major commodity trading houses, shipping operators, mining companies and shipping companies. The intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in Panamax size shipbroking practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the creation and update tonnage & cargo lists;
- Voyage and time-charter calculations;
- Updating internal ships position system;
- Assist and help the exchange of market informations between Ifchor offices worldwide;
- Monitor market conditions and rates for the industry through all appropriate means in addition to keeping management appraised of upcoming major contracts and outcomes of tender awards;
- Provide schedule and manage several assistant to brokers;
- Maintain records or tonnage within the company’s database;
- Assisting Ship Broker on marketing of tonnage (ships) to customers/shippers/charterers. Negotiate spot/time charters to achieve maximum income for the owners.

**Requirements**:

- Undergraduate student majoring in Operations & Supply Chain Management;
- Advanced computer skills;
- Team spirit, self-motivation, service oriented mindset;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
