Data Engineer

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support business analytics and reporting needs.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to store, manage, and retrieve large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement data solutions.
- Build and optimize batch and streaming data processing workflows using distributed data processing platforms like Spark.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data quality and system performance.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Strong knowledge of data pipeline and architecture design principles.
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Familiarity with distributed data processing platforms such as Apache Spark.
- Interest in developing efficient data engineering pipelines for batch and streaming data processing.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data governance and best practices for data management.
- Familiarity with cloud-native tools and services for data engineering (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
- Understanding of machine learning pipelines and integration with data engineering workflows.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

**Education**:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $6,500.00 - $7,500.00 per month

**Experience**:

- relational and NoSQL databases: 5 years (preferred)
- built data pipelines and architectures: 3 years (preferred)
- worked with Apache Spark: 3 years (preferred)
- handled both structured and unstructured data sources: 3 years (preferred)
- SQL: 1 year (preferred)
