**Team Summary**

The Asia Pacific regional communication team creates and delivers communication programs that drive Visa’s business growth and advance and protect the company’s reputation. This team takes ownership of the Company’s external comms profile including Asia Pacific’s President and senior leadership team, Products & Solutions, Innovation, New Payment Flows, Merchant Sales & Acquiring, Risk, Consulting and Analytics, Technology, and Strategy. We work across external, client and employee communication activities to promote Visa’s ongoing strategy to extend our payments network into new areas of opportunity and position ourselves as the partner of choice for banks, merchants, fintechs, technology companies and governments. In close partnership with the business functions, our team defines the company’s positions in the region on a wide range of industry topics and delivers corresponding thought leadership content.

**What a Director, Client Advisory Communications does at Visa**:
In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the AP Communications team and key functions across the business: Product, Merchant Sales & Acquiring, New Flows, Risk, Visa Consulting & Analytics and Technology. You will be responsible for external facing Executive Communications and client advisory communications and including turnkey events including Visa’s Senior Client Council meetings, Visa Client Forum, and the regional Risk Executive Forum. For these events, you will work closely with the business teams, research key themes, conceptualize overarching agenda, identify internal and external speakers, and work with internal stakeholders to prepare for their speaking engagement. You will work closely with our in-house events team to deliver on all aspects of a well-defined, thoughtful and insightful session for all attendees.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for building assets, content and processes to ensure client-facing employees in Asia Pacific have access to pertinent Visa and industry topics using Visa channels. While this aspect of the work has been done by members of the team hitherto, this role will aggregate the work, and create a plan to communicate to client-facing employees in a manner that suits their requirements with an accepted cadence. This role will work closely with Visa’s Sales Excellence team, with a close look at the audience needs for this special segment.

Alongside ongoing research of industry topics, this role will oversee turnkey thought leadership development. While Visa produces many specific thought leadership pieces a year, the idea is to identify and develop a thought leadership platform which can add to the body of rigorous thinking in the fast-moving industry, possibly in partnership with a leading institution or association. The research should be aligned to Visa’s critical growth pillars and support the growth of our clients’ businesses. Once developed, working with the wider team, you will oversee regional thought leadership communication including content for external, client and internal audiences.

It is vital for the applicant to demonstrate knowledge and capability in delivering strategic high-quality client engagement and external communication programs. You will act as a trusted advisor to Visa’s leadership team in some of the region’s most complex functions and helping our client -facing colleagues share Visa’s business objectives and contribution to the problems merchants of different sizes and industries experience. You will also play a key role in ensuring the company’s public and client-facing messages in Asia Pacific are communicated with a whole-of-Visa perspective, coordinating across geographies to make sure all content, from press releases to speeches, is consistent and aligned.
