The** Manager, Training Delivery, Asia Pacific** is responsible for day-to-day management of the Training team members and the overall delivery of innovative, interactive and engaging learning experiences for BCD Travel employees. This position oversees the Training Specialists’ activities ensuring that the business outcomes for new business, technologies, procedures and performance improvements are met. Activities and delivered courses should directly support performance improvements to meet the collective organizational goals.
The Manager observes training delivery and evaluates training session results, providing feedback to both the Training Specialist and the Curriculum Design and Development team to ensure course objectives and performance improvements are being met. The Manager provides effective growth and development opportunities to team members and can lead training sessions him/herself as needed. He/she may also help to develop training materials that deliver a maximum impact to the audience.
**Your responsibilities**:
**Staff Management/Development**
- Observes and evaluates Training Specialists during training sessions (virtual and instructor-led)
- Provides direction, goals and feedback for each individual and monitors progress
- Regularly meets with direct reports in monthly one-on-ones and conducts annual performance reviews
- Provides developmental opportunities to team members to enhance their professional and industry skills
- Develops, coaches and mentors direct reports
- Establishes and executes against development / improvement plans
- Builds an environment of trust and teamwork
- Encourages and facilitates research into best practices and seeks ways for team members to adopt
- Researches and evaluates different learning techniques, working with the team to implement as applicable.
- Ensures learning activities are completed by the team on-time and on-budget.
**Learning Delivery / Facilitation**
- Reviews training material, incorporates examples as needed and prepares for facilitation
- Creates and maintains a positive and professional learning environment
- Understands the audience and applies a variety of learning methodologies and concepts for maximum learning transfer and fluency in both the live or virtual classroom and personal interactions
- Maintains knowledge of learning theories and techniques and applies these to their training delivery
- Coordinates schedules with peers to ensure an adequate number and frequency of course sessions is offered
- Manages the set up and registration process for course sessions
- Works with colleagues and SMEs through the instructional design process
- Facilitates the course within the allotted and agreed upon timeline and covers all outlined material
- Identifies and communicates to the audience’s direct supervisors any concerns or specific follow up is needed by participants
- Conduct live classes (virtual or classroom) to internal customers (travel consultants up to and including senior directors and peers),
- Maintain an updated knowledge of course offerings.
**Business Acumen**
- Maintains and expands personal knowledge of BCD Travel and industry tools, systems, processes and procedures and can effectively facilitate courses on these topics
- Evaluates performance, of both new and existing potential audience members and immediate team, identifying recommendations for additional learning opportunities to address skill gaps and takes the lead in developing with Curriculum Design and Development or otherwise implementing solutions
- Examines business objectives and helps to determine how Learning Solutions contributes, most effectively, to the achievement of the objectives
- Maintains an on-going knowledge of new developments in the industry so learning helps to prepare individuals and the business to meet new business requirements
- Assigns and executes activities to meet strategic business goals
**Performance Improvement**
- Reviews and provides feedback and provides proactive suggestions
- Routinely observes individuals performing their jobs to help identify learning and potential process improvements.
- Reviews classroom, after-class performance and survey results to identify opportunities for adjustments for improved results (both self and course) for business outcome achievement
**Project Management**
- Oversees the team’s projects, providing feedback and direction and ensuring all deliverables are met on time and on budget
