Manager/senior Assistant Manager, Internship

This Manager/Senior Assistant Manager position is a second-in-charge to Assistant Director who manages all internship placements for their respective colleges. In addition, the incumbent is also directly responsible for the administrative internship support of their assigned schools within the college where they are accountable to the following.
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan and manage all operational aspect (end-to-end) of credit and non-credit bearing internship programmes and the work-integrated education programme(s) for undergraduate students.
- Make plans to implement enhances and/or grow the programme(s) so that students seeking internship or work learning experiences may benefit with many more choices.
- To plan and manage with the schools to ensure that eligible students are provided with suitable and timely internship placements when required.
- Reach out and develop promising internship organizations to bring more value-added internship opportunities to students who are seeking internship.
- Manage and co-ordinate with internship organization(s) to ensure that quality internship opportunities are made available to students. Incumbent must collaborate closely with internship organizations and schools to review and assess internship suitability whenever needed.
- Monitor student internship progress and be ready to address any challenges and/or exceptions arising from the internship programme(s), whether from students and/or internship organization(s). Be ready to provide support and advice to either the internship organization, faculty supervisor, schools’ administration, or students.
- Provide supervisory support to colleagues and staff in the team so that the team may grow progressively.
- Constantly reviewing and finding ways to improve productivity and service quality of the team through improvements in work processes and/or to leverage in the use of technology.
- Constantly plan to upgrade skillsets of fellow team members and to motivate them to achieve better service outcome.
- Plan and manage data collection, analysis and reporting to support performance management and decision making.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized University, or those with a polytechnic diploma with extensive relevant working experiences may also apply.
- At least 4 to 6 years in small team leadership role, internship/training management, customer services and service delivery experience preferably in tertiary education, adult education sectors and/or government agencies.
- Have some prior experiences in managing projects or any initiatives within a team, and/or across different teams in an organization. Able to work with stakeholders of diverse requirements.
- Able to manage small team project implementation.
- Able to lead a small team of co-workers and to work well as member of a team.
- A proficient written and oral communicator.
- Successful track record in the management of internships/ cooperative education/ work-study degree programme/ workplace learning/ performance enhancement or adult education highly advantageous.
