**About this role**:
The Business Development Director plays a critical role in our organization and you will be responsible for the development of new markets and customer base, ensuring adherence to business plans and commercial targets.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for channel strategy, expansion and portfolio segmentation. You will be a key partner to the Commercial and Marketing teams, helping to grow the DTB business in Singapore and regionally.
**What does success look like?**
- Conduct in
- depth market research - category analysis, competitor analysis, pricing analysis, consumer, and country studies, through online content, official reports, and market visits.
- Develop brand, distribution, and pricing strategy in partnership with Commercial and Marketing teams, based on research data.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing campaigns to increase sales revenue and improve profitability.
- Partnering with the commercial team to build and implement the yearly commercial plans locally.
- Responsible for principal forecasting, ordering, and reporting.
- Monitor and analyze sales data and provide weekly reports to management.
- Lead principal presentations and visits.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, principals, and internal stakeholders to obtain buy-in and support for new product launches and other projects.
**Requirements**:
- Analytical, Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
- Minimum 6-8 years experience in Sales, Key Account Management, Commercial Consultancy and/or Customer Marketing roles in Consumer Goods/Retail industries.
- Strong commercial experience in Singapore and deep understand of the consumer goods landscape.
- Some experience in the region would be a plus.
