Intern, Business Control (Finance Business Partnering)

We are looking for a driven finance Intern with a basic understanding of accounting and internal controls who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. Under the supervision of our staff, the finance Intern can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial management reports, analyze and validate financial data, perform financial planning, learn more about bookkeeping software (SAP), and assist with other accounting and controls activities. The finance intern can also expect to be exposed to finance business partnering with the supply chain & logistic department.

You should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.

Business Control (FBP) Intern Responsibilities:

- Shadowing members of the Business Control (finance business partners) department as they perform their duties, which will include exposure to finance business partnering with business functions.
- Assisting with data validation and reconciliation, data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Support members of the finance business partners in projects and cost savings programs. This will include analyzing business related expenses such as freight and warehousing expenses and to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Analytics and reporting of business spend and related cost savings programs
- Utilizing software or tools for management reporting of financial data and cost savings data
- Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Learning how to work as part of the Business Control team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company.
- Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and business operations.

Business Control (FBP) Intern Requirements:

- Undergraduate (penultimate year) pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business.
- Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles and internal controls.
- Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint (Power BI will be a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, integrity and responsibility.
- Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
