About the Role As a Head of Markets, Vietnam, you will be responsible for driving financial performance and overseeing all aspects of the Markets Trading and Sales business as well as Balance Sheet management, to achieve both current and future business targets. This senior leadership role is accountable for the overall decision making, strategic direction and investment for growth across Vietnam Markets business. The role requires deep technical capabilities and has significant people management responsibilities. The role reports directly to the Head of Markets, South East Asia and represents a key leadership opportunity within the Institutional Markets, offering the chance to make a significant impact on the success of ANZ Markets Vietnam. In this role, you will also be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the business. It is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader to influence outcomes, drive transformation, and contribute to the continued growth and success of ANZ in Vietnam. You will be a member of the ANZ Vietnam Executive Committee and will help shape the culture and the business. As a Head of Markets, Vietnam, you will: Deliver financial results and support all facets of the Markets Trading and Sales business as well as Balance Sheet management to meet current and future targets Create and implement Markets strategies for Vietnam to build and promote sales/trading co-operation, engage with both senior internal stakeholders and senior external clients across Institutional and FIG to maximize results and create better synergies within the bank Create value with senior client contacts by developing a compelling proposition for priority clients leading to a sustainable service model and an increase in clients’ business in multiple markets Develop an inclusive culture and a diverse team of people who adhere to the ANZ iCare values and keeping the team engaged with the bank’s priorities; provide technical sales leadership and development to the sales team and build the Markets Talent pipeline Ensure alignment and adherence to Markets governance policies, processes, and standards, as well as external regulatory requirements; develop a culture where risk and compliance operations are understood, measured, and proactively managed What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Extensive knowledge of local regulatory framework and requirements in the Vietnam market as well as strong relationship with regulators (MOF/SBV) Proven track record in a leadership and senior management role in the industry and able to inspire/motivate team to work closely together in pursuit of growth in revenue and products whilst managing cost A seasoned well-respected leader both in the banking industry as well as within ANZ to ensure strong collaboration not just between the Sales and Trading team within Markets but also across relationship/risk/geographies Alignment and adherence with Markets governance policies, processes and standards and with external regulatory requirements Strong communication and influencing skills with experience in dealing with internal and external Markets (Corporate/Insto/FIG) clients and stakeholders at all seniority levels Strong customer focus and ability to drive results You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
