Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining our laboratory's accreditation and quality management system through effective equipment management, metrological traceability, and quality assurance/control of laboratory processes and testing. The Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality team and Laboratory Operations Manager to achieve and maintain ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, demonstrating our technical competency and commitment to providing consistently valid results.

Key Responsibilities:

Environment Monitoring & Equipment Management:

• Monitor lab conditions to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist in laboratory equipment commissioning, inspection, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Plan, coordinate and perform calibration, troubleshoot equipment performance issues, as well as liaising with external service providers.

Proficiency Testing:

• Assist in coordinating proficiency testing programs.
• Collate data for analysis and support Quality Engineers with test result analysis and corrective actions.

Documentation & Traceability:

• Develop methods and author procedures for calibration and verification activities.
• Ensure all quality-related documents, especially equipment calibration procedures and records, are accurate and up to date.

QAQC Process Flow:

• Implement quality assurance procedures and the quality management system in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
• Perform internal audits, address non-conformities, and support the lab in maintaining accreditation status while adhering to QHSSE and technical requirements.

Training & Development:

• Conduct training sessions for equipment management and calibration procedures.
• Provide continuous feedback and support to quality team members.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide feedback on potential improvements to laboratory processes.
