Role Overview: Senior Brand Manager

This role is responsible for leading the marketing strategy and long-term vision for the brand at a central level, supporting key markets to maximize local opportunities. Senior Brand Managers must be able to engage and inspire both cross-functionally and within local markets.

A day in the life of a Brand Manager…

  1. Analyze business and consumer trends, identify key issues, and develop innovative brand plans. Demonstrate strong consumer insight, strategic brand building capabilities, and effective project management skills.
  2. Implement growth strategies through a 3-year brand plan and annual implementation plan (ICP). Develop or adapt brand essence, vision, and manifesto, and create strategies for success at the first and second moments of truth (product and packaging). Collaborate with the category team to develop effective brand strategies that delight shoppers.
  3. Develop the OBI, Big Idea, Campaign Idea, engagement strategies, and track effectiveness.
  4. Deliver a 3-year consumer and technically validated category innovation plan, identifying new, insight-driven ideas to drive growth. Develop new products, renovate existing ones, and build a long-term pipeline.
  5. Manage brand performance across markets, identifying gaps and opportunities, and finding synergies to drive efficiency. Support markets in growth initiatives while challenging market needs that conflict with overall business objectives.
  6. Lead cross-functional internal and external teams in developing and executing marketing strategies. Ensure alignment with overall business goals and foster team development, especially for junior members.
  7. Lead cross-brand projects beyond the scope of the brand team, collaborating with other teams to achieve business objectives.
  8. Work with PTC, TAG, and R&D teams to develop products that meet palatability, digestibility, trend, cost, and sustainability targets.

What will make you successful

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Brand Management, including at least 3 years in a local market environment.
  • Experience in PetCare preferred.
  • Cross-functional GD experience is required.
  • Proven success in project management.
  • Experience in achieving goals through teamwork.
  • Skills in brief writing, agency management, and executing successful creative campaigns.
