**Key Responsibilities**
- **Architecture Design**:
- Develop and maintain the architectural roadmap for payment systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Design end-to-end payment solutions that encompass transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, and fraud prevention.
- Define architecture principles, standards, and best practices for payment system development and integration.
- **Technical Leadership**:
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and design principles.
- Collaborate with software engineers, solution architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations to optimize performance, scalability, and security of payment systems.
- **Industry Knowledge**:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and regulatory changes in the payments industry.
- Monitor industry standards and best practices related to payment processing, including ISO 20022, EMV, PCI DSS, and PSD2.
- Evaluate new payment technologies and vendors to assess their potential impact on the organization's architecture and capabilities.
- **Risk Management and Compliance**:
- Assess the security and compliance implications of payment system designs, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing payment processing, data protection, and fraud prevention.
- Collaborate with compliance and security teams to implement controls and measures to safeguard payment data and infrastructure.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**:
- Engage with business stakeholders, product managers, and executives to understand business needs and priorities related to payment systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and roadmap payment system initiatives, balancing business requirements with technical feasibility and architectural considerations**.**
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Extensive experience (X years) in software architecture, with a focus on payment systems and financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing technologies, including card networks, ACH, real-time payments, and digital wallets.
- Strong understanding of payment industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2).
- Proficiency in architecting scalable and secure distributed systems, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and modeling tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $9, $10,000.00 per month
