Job Description

My clients are looking for a reliable Kitchen Assistant to join their preschool team. You will support the Head Cook in preparing nutritious meals for young children and ensure a clean, hygienic, and child-friendly kitchen environment.

This role is essential in contributing to children's health and well-being through safe food preparation and teamwork.


Responsibilities
  • Assist Head Cook with daily meal preparation and portioning
  • Wash, peel, chop, and prepare food ingredients
  • Ensure all food is handled and stored according to hygiene standards
  • Support in serving meals/snacks to children and staff
  • Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces
  • Monitor food supplies and assist with stock rotation
  • Work with Cleaner to maintain overall kitchen cleanliness

Requirements
  • Prior experience in kitchen, F&B, or preschool settings is an advantage
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
  • Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
  • Physically fit to manage kitchen duties (lifting, standing, cleaning)
  • Positive attitude and care towards children's nutrition
