Job Title: Regional Trade Compliance Analyst - Pharmaceutical Industry (Singapore Based)

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Regional Trade Compliance Analyst to join our team in Singapore. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate with a background in Business Administration, specializing in Logistics Management or International Business, and a strong interest in data analytics. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the company's adherence to international trade regulations, perform regular compliance reporting, and support the development and implementation of trade compliance programs across the region, specifically within the pharmaceutical industry and in compliance with APJK ((Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea & Japan) regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring and interpreting international trade regulations and laws specific to the pharmaceutical industry, including import/export controls, customs regulations, healthcare compliance, and APJK trade laws.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate trade data related to pharmaceutical products, APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), and related materials to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring compliance with APJK reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of trade compliance manuals, policies, and procedures tailored to the pharmaceutical industry, including guidelines for handling controlled substances, temperature-sensitive products, and compliance with APJK regulations.
  • Support the implementation of trade compliance training programs for employees involved in the import/export of pharmaceutical products and materials, with a focus on Regional regulations and best practices in APJK
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as supply chain, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance, to ensure compliance with trade regulations specific to the pharmaceutical industry and international laws.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions related to pharmaceutical trade compliance, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trade compliance activities, including import/export licenses, permits, and documentation related to pharmaceutical products, in accordance with legal requirements at a regional level.
  • Support the resolution of trade compliance issues and inquiries related to pharmaceutical products and materials, addressing any concerns specific to APJK regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Compliance and Transportation Manager.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:  

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in Logistics Management/ International Businesses or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations is a plus. However, training will be provided for fresh entrant.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and its specific trade compliance challenges is highly desirable. However, training will be provided for fresh entrant.
  • Knowledge of APJK trade regulations and compliance requirements is an advantage. However, training will be provided for fresh entrant.
  • Skills:Data Analysis,Compliance Reporting,Regulatory Knowledge (HSA, FDA, EMA), Communication,Problem Solving,Attention to Detail,Teamwork,Pharmaceutical Industry Knowledge (not a must for fresh entrants)and Regional Trade Regulations
