Job Posting
BACKGROUND:
Grow Asia was established by the World Economic Forum in 2015 in collaboration with the ASEAN Secretariat in response to the urgent need to transform food systems to be more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient to climate change. Today, Grow Asia is the only ASEAN-accredited multi-stakeholder platform that unites all actors across the agri-food ecosystem. Headquartered in Singapore, Grow Asia works with more than 780 partners to design and deploy market driven solutions for smallholder farmers. We do this by convening leading decision makers from governments, companies, finance institutions and community groups to blend public, private, and philanthropic capital and mobilize tailor-made partnerships that can implement scalable projects at a field-, national-, and regional level.
The Grow Asia network comprises our regional office in Singapore and five country chapters in Cambodia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Viet Nam. The network operates through 44 national and sectoral Working Groups and is already reaching more than 3.7 million smallholders across Southeast Asia with market ready solutions. In 2020, Grow Asia was accredited as an Entity Associated with ASEAN. This accreditation recognizes the important role Grow Asia plays in the region, particularly in facilitating multi-stakeholder partnerships and acting as a delivery mechanism for ASEAN programs.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Programs will manage a team of regional and country program staff who are responsible for delivering a suite of programs funded by Grow Asia's Public-Private Impact Funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, delivery, and reporting of regional and country level projects, including seeking new sources of funding, managing relationships with new and existing stakeholders among our network of 780+ partners, and building strong communications strategies to amplify results.
This high-profile role requires an independent thinker and problem solver with a strong sense of self- motivation, who thrives in a highly collaborative, dynamic team environment. The successful candidate should bring experience in leading diverse teams to design and implement successful technical assistance programs focused on climate resilience, gender inclusion, digital solutions, and sustainable finance across multiple disciplines and countries.
