1880 SG is a private members club with over 2,000 members that is focused on delivering incredible experiences to our members through all aspects including, Design, Food & Beverage and Events & Programming. Everything that we do is around creating incredible experiences and opportunities for conversations.

**The Role
**You will lead and be responsible for all aspects of Events and Programming and delivering, driving and implementing the Event calendar for 1880 Singapore.

You will be comfortable with engaging with members, partners and across teams and be a strategic business partner for all internal and external stake holders. You will be responsible for conceptualising and driving Event & Programming with a key focus on engaging and exciting every member of the community through excellent experiences. You will be engaged with trends and current affairs and be able to push boundaries in the generation of new and interesting ideas for events and topics for salon discussions.

You will lead by example for all staff and be the strongest advocate for all members / guests. Your actions will always reflect our key values of curiosity, kindness, fairness, integrity, and courage.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualise, plan and co-ordinate calendar of events taking into consideration local nuances and global trends and current affairs.
- Engage with partners and members to offer creative ideas and innovative solutions and always seek to deliver exceptional and unforgettable moments through hospitality, food, drink, events, experiences and amenities.
- Work closely and collaboratively with other heads of department including Kitchen, Membership, Service and Finance for the successful execution of an event.
- Ensure that every event is well executed and implemented and that all events reflect 1880 values and ethos.
- Build, lead, recruit and train team members to deliver incredible experiences.
- Establish policies, processes and procedures to ensure effective and successful delivery of events.
- Drive and track engagement, revenues and profits of all events and report to Management team.

**Required Skills/Qualifications**:

- At least 10+ years conceptualising, producing, planning and delivering incredible events from salon talks to club-wide parties;
- Possess a global outlook and strategic mindset, intellectually curious;
- Creative problem solver and analytical thinker who encompasses strong business aptitude is driven by results and member satisfaction;
- You will be an excellent communicator and able to deal with people and solve problems effectively and be able to handle difficult situations under pressure;
- You will have a wide network of contacts, including suppliers, speakers, artists, sponsors and media which will enable you to deliver exceptional world class hospitality and events;
- You will be highly organised, detail oriented and a meticulous planner and have considered all aspects of each event;
- You will be an excellent leader and able to build and train a team and be able to work with management and other team members;
- You will have good organizational, analytical, and coordinating abilities and able to drive revenues and manage a P&L.
- You will care deeply about creating incredible experiences through ensuring that every event is well executed
