SM Accounting is an accounting and corporate secretarial firm based in Singapore, dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of professional services tailored to the needs of SMEs.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Handle full sets of accounts assigned by the company.
  • Prepare financial and management reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory documents.
  • Prepare GST returns for IRAS.
  • Verify and prepare journal entries.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Liaise with clients to address inquiries and provide updates on financial matters.

Qualifications & experience

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as MYOB, QuickBooks or Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A relevant accounting qualification, such as a degree or diploma, is preferred
