The AWS Cloud logistics team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation & Warehousing Manager with a background in logistics operations to manage the day-to-day operations for one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to join an agile and driven team while ensuring the highest standards of services and safety compliance.

An ideal candidate has a background in transport & supply chain operations and data center logistics, with excellent data-driven problem resolution skills. They should have experience implementing protocols, driving performance improvements and managing third party vendors. The role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently and develop strategies for short and long-term growth.

Key job responsibilities

  • Act as point of escalation for transportation issues
  • Manage vendor operational excellence through data driven metrics
  • Implement and execute transportation strategies that support short and long term goals

  • Influence internal technical teams to drive multi- system process changes

  • Provide scalable solutions for continued growth

  • Set project requirements and drive agendas across internal and external teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of related industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
  • Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
  • Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
  • Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)
