Job Summary

We are looking for a Level-1 Cybersecurity Engineer to support daily security operations, including incident handling, firewall and proxy management, VPN support, and vulnerability remediation. The role also involves ensuring optimal performance of network security infrastructure for projects in reputed bank.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in managing Security Systems, with Incident Management Experience;
  • Must have Extensive technical experience with Technical experience with UNIX, AIX, Linux, Windows;
  • Must have Certifications from EC-Council, GIAC, (ISC)² are preferred CISSP, CEH, GCIA, CCNA;
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, web, wireless security architectures and enterprise-grade security solutions;
  • Must have conduct vulnerability assessments and managing related tools and processes, with experience in application penetration testing and forensic analysis
  • Must have analyzing packet-level data, managing security tools (NIDS/NIPS, firewalls, HIPS, AV, scanners), and interpreting related security events;
  • Knowledge of encryption and authentication methods such as 2FA, DES/AES/RSA, Digital Certificates, SSL/TLS, IPSec and development of DMZ's;
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection (deep TCP/IP knowledge, and cybersecurity), various operating systems (Windows/UNIX), and web technologies (especially internet security)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills;
  • Customer-focused, with a strong team-oriented mindset;
  • Ability to work under pressure with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desired Skill-set

  • Experience in the Banking industry will be an advantage;
  • Familiar with security products and network devices

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 support for production network and security infrastructure;
  • Manage service requests, and changes efficiently, monitor risk, analysis on security tools such as Anomaly Detection systems, Firewalls, Antivirus systems, Proxy devices;
  • Remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen network security;
  • Maintain and update security documentation and SOPs;
  • Develop in-depth understanding of organizational IT systems;
  • Assist in implementation of network security projects;
  • Oversee IT asset and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) management such as firewalls, routers, LANs, WANs, VPNs, etc.;
  • Install and configure firewalls, VPNs, routers, servers, and IDS tools also Mentor and support Level 1 security teams;
  • Lead security awareness initiatives for non-technical staff and respond promptly to security incidents and threats;
  • Ensure timely updates and upgrades of security systems.
