What you'll be doing?
  • Team Leadership: Organize and lead a team of Fleet Engineering Specialists, deploying them effectively for maintenance and repair work on marine crafts.
  • Operational Coordination: Work closely with Fleet Operations to ensure timely repair and maintenance of marine crafts, providing crucial feedback on operational readiness.
  • Innovation Champion: Take the lead in driving fleet innovation and newbuild projects, keeping the fleet at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Maintenance Planning: Plan and monitor maintenance schedules for all equipment onboard marine crafts and in the workshop, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as shipyards, to manage scheduled docking and oversee project execution.
  • Team Development: Develop and implement plans for learning, development, and performance management of Fleet Engineering Specialists, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive records of assets, completed jobs, spare parts purchases, special tools, and manpower utilization.
  • Technology Integration: Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational Background: Preferably hold a bachelor's degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Possess strong cross-discipline knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering domains.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate good knowledge of electrical and instrument systems, with familiarity in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and symbols. This skill is essential for effective troubleshooting and system management.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Show excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build cordial and effective working relationships. Your role will involve extensive collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Career Level: This position is suitable for mid-level professionals. However, more experienced candidates may be considered for a senior position, offering opportunities for career advancement.
