Summary:

Job Scope:

  • Create and update detailed BIM models for fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hose reels, extinguishers, and alarms, using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Work with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP teams to make sure fire protection systems fit correctly within the building design.
  • Coordinate with the internal project team to ensure BIM work meets project requirements.
  • Prepare, revise, and manage shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure all BIM models follow relevant codes, standards (such as NFPA), and client requirements.
  • Check for clashes and solve design conflicts using Navisworks or similar software.
  • Update BIM models when there are design changes and support engineers with revisions.
  • Join site and coordination meetings when needed to discuss the model and design.
  • Take part in project review meetings and share BIM-related updates.
  • Keep all model files, documents, and versions well-organized and properly managed throughout the project.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection, Building Services, or a related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in BIM modeling, specifically in fire protection systems
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Experience in large-scale MEP or building construction projects is preferred.
  • Certification in Revit/BIM is an advantage.
  • Experience with BIM 360, Dynamo, or other BIM automation tools.
