Central Region, Singapore NETS Full time $150,000 - $200,000 per year

About NETS Solutions

NETS Solutions is NETS' wholly owned subsidiary. It develops payment infrastructure and transaction processing solutions for central banks, banks and clearing houses in Singapore and the region.

Team and Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and technically astute Project Director to lead the successful execution of large-scale, complex technology projects, particularly in the central banking and payments domains. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive delivery excellence while ensuring robust solutioning in close collaboration with the architecture team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, proven project leadership experience, and the presence to influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions. The role also demands strong risk management capabilities to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks, while maintaining the right balance between project completion, cost efficiency, risk exposure, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of project managers and technical delivery staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of strategic programmes, particularly for clients in the central banking and payments sectors, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Drive technical solutioning across projects by working closely with enterprise architects, business analysts, and engineering leads to ensure scalable, robust, and secure designs.
  • Validate solution architectures and technical approaches to ensure alignment with business goals, enterprise architecture, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain and enforce consistent delivery and project management methodologies, including structured documentation, governance, and change control.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and external clients — managing expectations, influencing decisions, and resolving complex delivery challenges.
  • Ensure robust risk management processes are in place to identify, assess, and mitigate project delivery risks; highlight and escalate critical risks to senior leadership in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Balance trade-offs between timely delivery, cost constraints, risk exposure, and client satisfaction across all projects.
  • Communicate programme status, issues, and risks clearly and confidently to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Manage key project milestones including system testing, industry certification, and go-live readiness, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Optimise the utilisation of internal and external resources across concurrent projects, balancing delivery agility with financial discipline.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in delivering complex IT projects, including at least 10 years in a project or programme leadership role.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong technical acumen, with a solid understanding of enterprise architecture, systems integration, and solution delivery in complex environments.
  • Proven track record of successful collaboration with architecture teams and technical leads to shape and validate end-to-end solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, including senior business stakeholders, clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to convey complex ideas with clarity, credibility, and confidence.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities, with executive presence and the ability to manage up and across.
  • Strong understanding of delivery risk management, with hands-on experience in identifying, tracking, mitigating, and reporting risks in large-scale projects.
  • Experience in central bank infrastructure, financial services, or payments systems is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage competing delivery priorities while balancing time, cost, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Professional Certification

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
