As a IT Deputy Director, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the Director in setting and achieving department goals that align with the company's overall direction.
  • Help create and update IT policies and procedures to follow industry standards.
  • Manage daily IT operations to keep systems, networks, and infrastructure running smoothly and securely.
  • Review and improve IT processes to ensure quick and efficient support.
  • Lead and guide a team of IT staff, encouraging teamwork and good communication.
  • Identify training needs and provide development opportunities for team members.
  • Track project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues as they come up.
  • Handle outsourcing tasks, making sure vendors meet contract terms and project needs.
  • Manage IT purchases, review vendor proposals, and recommend the best options.
  • Ensure all IT operations follow data protection laws and industry regulations.
  • Help maintain IT governance policies and frameworks.
  • Support audits by preparing documents and addressing any findings.
  • Keep the Director informed and step in to update management when the Director is away.
  • Build strong working relationships and keep communication open.
  • Maintain quality records according to company standards.
  • Cover for colleagues when they are absent.
  • Take on any other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Min 5 years in team management and a proven track record in handling complex IT operations and projects.
  • PMP or CITPM certification.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, including experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, and managing budgets, contracts, and system integration.
