The Opportunity

  • Adecco is partnering with a leading bank to look for a Risk Specialist
  • Starts off as 12 months contract
  • Starting on 1st Nov 2025

Job Purpose

The role manages country risk exposures across the Group and requires expertise in assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks related to transfer and convertibility, sovereign default, and other country-specific factors. This specialist develops and implements country risk management policies and strategies, as well as collaborates with business units, risk management teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective management of the banks country risk exposures against set thresholds.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Exposure Monitoring & Control (primary role):

  • Daily TWWR (Transfer Wrong Way Risk) monitoring
  • Daily MLC excess report
  • Daily CTRL (Country Transfer Risk Limit) utilisation monitoring
  • Month-end excess coverage
  • Prepare Country of Risk data as requested
  • Memo preparation (Country risk appetite threshold, Country transfer risk limit, Funding related transfer risk etc.)

Risk Monitoring & Assessment:

  • Daily marco indicators monitoring
  • Daily external agency rating checks
  • Country risk assessment reports
  • Marco related research, analysis and reporting

Others:

  • CORALS (Country Risk Automated Limit System) / Murex enhancement testing
  • Assist in reviewing standard/guide/SOP
  • Miscellaneous as required

Skills You'll Need

Preferable for candidate to be comfortable with handling large volumes of data, experience in UAT, and familiar in risk reporting in credit/market risk domains. Also open to candidates with 1 or more years of relevant experiences.
