Role Overview:
The Vice President of Sales, APAC, plays a critical role in shaping and executing our regional sales strategy. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, this high-impact position involves collaboration with Snap's senior executives to address strategic challenges and influence not only the APAC operations but also Snap's global initiatives. This role will involve guiding our market positioning and fostering industry relations to establish Snap as an influential player in the APAC region.
Key Business Metrics:
Our community has reached 453 million daily active users, reflecting a growth of +39M users year-over-year. Revenue also continues to grow, up 14% year-over-year to $1,557 million in the third quarter of 2024, compared to $1,361 million in the same period last year.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Market Expansion:
Formulate and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with Snap's global objectives and the unique landscapes of the APAC markets.
Drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, leveraging market insights, and adapting to regional dynamics.
Team Leadership & Development:
Build and inspire a high-performing sales team, cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Foster talent development and retention, supporting career growth and ensuring the team's alignment with Snap's values and vision.
Client & Community Engagement:
Establish robust relationships with key clients, industry leaders, and advertising bodies, including the IAB.
Represent Snap externally, including at industry conferences and in press opportunities, to enhance public perception and influence industry standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with global sales leadership and cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to drive monetization and ensure strategic alignment.
Oversee the integration of APAC-specific cultural and market insights into Snap's product roadmap and strategic plans.
Operational Excellence & Performance Management:
Develop strategic sales plans with realistic goals, and monitor performance metrics, including forecasting and budget management.
Ensure sales operations are efficient, with a strong emphasis on data integrity and seamless integration with other organizational functions such as Finance and Marketing.
Qualifications:
Extensive sales leadership experience within the APAC region, preferably in a high-growth technology or digital advertising environment.
Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies in a culturally diverse market.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with CEO-level customers and industry stakeholders.
Ability to navigate complex business environments, offering strategic solutions to drive growth and innovation.
