Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the commissioning and start-up of marine and offshore equipment and systems according to contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and implement commissioning procedures, guidelines, and schedules to ensure systematic and efficient project execution.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth commissioning activities and timely issue resolution.
  • Deploy and manage onsite workers and resources to meet commissioning schedules and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols, housekeeping, and operational standards.
  • Monitor and report on commissioning progress, site observations, testing results, and non-conformance issues.
  • Participate in HAT and progress meetings to track milestones, address challenges, and communicate status to stakeholders and clients.
  • Identify and manage procurement of special tools and equipment required for commissioning activities.
  • Review and enforce Risk Assessments (RA) and conduct safety briefings to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support troubleshooting and rectify commissioning and operational malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate commissioning records and compile comprehensive reports for project documentation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine, Structural, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
  • Trained in Naval Institute or equivalent marine industry certification.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in marine commissioning or related roles; fresh graduates may be considered for junior positions.
  • Knowledge of class requirements, quality standards, and marine industry regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret marine, electrical, and automation system schematics and arrangement drawings.
  • Strong understanding of operational requirements for marine and automation equipment.
