About the role

Seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join their team. As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of marine vessels, overseeing vessel maintenance, and supporting ship repair activities.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of marine vessels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs on various marine systems and equipment
  • Coordinate and supervise ship repair and retrofit projects, working closely with external contractors and vendors
  • Analyse operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-effective solutions
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the vessel crew, ensuring the smooth running of operations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices related to marine engineering
  • Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to enhance safety and operational efficiency

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Marine Engineer, preferably in the commercial shipping or offshore industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of marine vessels and equipment
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and regulatory requirements
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiar with marine regulations, classification society requirements, and safety protocols
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
