Kitchen Helper

Contract Period: 1 January 2026 – 31 December 2026

Work Location: 21 Fernvale Link, Singapore 797702

Working Hours

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (inclusive of 1 hr lunch break; lunch hour will not be paid)
  • Fridays: 7:30 am – 2:30 pm (inclusive of 1 hr lunch break; lunch hour will not be paid)

Note:

  • Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, school holidays, and gazetted public holidays.
  • Service is not required for the whole months of November and December.

Scope of Services

The Services required are as follows:

  • Assist Food and Consumer Education (FCE) teachers in preparing ingredients for lessons as required.
  • Receive food orders and store ingredients appropriately in the labs.
  • Contact the grocer if delivered food orders have missing items or are not fresh. Request for exchange/replacement where necessary.
  • Cut and prepare specific portions of ingredients for cooking, based on recipes provided by teachers, before the start of FCE lessons.
  • Inform teachers if ingredients are insufficient for lesson preparation.
  • Prepare food order lists.
  • Maintain day-to-day cleanliness of all cookery labs, including:
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Washing utensils
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment and sinks
  • Cleaning workbenches
  • Clearing and cleaning refrigerators
  • Washing rags using the washing machine
  • Perform stock-taking duties for consumables such as detergents.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by FCE teachers, Principal, Vice-Principals, or Key Personnel.

Qualifications and Skills

The Personnel should preferably possess the following:

  • Minimum PSLE certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Helper in a cookery lab in MOE schools.

Additional Requirements

  • The contractor should provide the track record of the company and details of proposed candidates from 1 January 2021 up to the close of ITQ.
