Main Duties & Responsibilities :

1.Sound good chemical plant DCS operation knowledge to control process parameters for plant start up, normal operation and plant shutdown.

  1. Apply chemical plant operation knowledge to follow documented procedures (e.g. Standard operating procedure-SOP, EHS regulations, risk assessment).

3.Closely monitor DCS (Distributed control system) for alarms, analyze the deviation and respond according to documented process adjustment steps.

  1. Given instruction to shift technician in the field, to ensure close coordination and clear communication between DCS action and field action, to prevent mis-operation.

  2. To demonstrate strong ownership, team spirit, challenge and sincerity.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or Nitec in Chemical engineering or equivalent.

  2. At least 3 years work experience as DCS operator in a chemical processing environment. Experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is advantageous.

  3. Possess basic Knowledge of chemical processing and equipment, with working knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO45001, SS651.

  4. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  5. Able to work rotating shift pattern in a fast-paced environment.
