Nylon Coffee is hiring a Part time Production/Roastery Assistant role.

Requirements for this role:

  • No experience required for this role

Established since 2012, Nylon has been a household name for coffee quality and service. As we continue to churn out freshly roasted coffee for retail, we are looking for an individual who is interested to join our roastery team to deliver the final products in a pristine form.

Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a knack for organization? We are seeking a reliable and meticulous individual to join our team as a Part-Time Production Packer and E-Commerce Fulfillment assistant. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who wants to be a key player in the Nylon team.

What you will do:

  • Production Packing: Accurately weigh, pack, and seal freshly roasted coffee beans for retail and e-commerce. Packing of roasted coffees will be done every Wednesday and Friday as well as the first Monday of every month (subscription roasting day). The selected individual will also assist the roasters during the roasting process to facilitate smooth operations and efficiency.
  • E-Commerce Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare online orders for shipping, ensuring all items are correctly packed and packaged securely.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with managing inventory of retail beans in store and packaging supplies
  • Cleaning and Hygiene Management: Keep the packing and production area clean and tidy.
  • Roastery Support: Maintain a clean and organized work environment and support the roasting team with other ad-hoc production tasks as needed.
  • Coffee cupping sessions: Participate in the team's regular cupping sessions as part of sensory exposure
