Data Center Manager

Within OVHcloud, the Business Unit Industry is responsible for designing and delivering server resources and infrastructures, while innovating and industrializing good practices. It ensures competitive levels of service and quality while respecting deadlines agreed with customers.

As DC Manager, you will ensure the continuity of your datacenter operations in cross-functional collaboration with the teams that use this datacenter. You will report to the DC Operations Manager for your zone. You will manage a team of technicians that is responsible for maintaining and helping to deploy new infrastructures in the datacenter.

• Manage datacenter teams

o Train, mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams

o Manage and supervise the different teams working in the datacenter (DC Run, Upgrade)

o Assess and develop the skills of employees

o Develop workload and recruitment plans for your team and ensure that these are consistent

o Organize the site's business continuity (on-call workers, etc.)

o Participate in recruiting datacenter teams

o Ensure health and safety regulations are respected in the datacenter

o Make sure the teams work well together and communicate successfully

• Manage the operational activities of the infrastructure

o Manage the site and make sure it operates smoothly

o Manage and coordinate datacenter operations

o Ensure the datacenter infrastructure is kept active (electricity, cooling, measuring and monitoring technologies, security systems, optical fiber)

o Manage the maintenance contracts for the datacenter (monitoring failures, error reports, ticket creation, overseeing contracts)

o Coordinate interventions with external providers

o Nurture and maintain a close relationship with providers

o Oversee development and validate service compliance

o Ensure documentation on DC operations is available

o Carry out checks and maintenance within the deadlines set by the manufacturer or the development department (establish how often maintenance is carried out as necessary)

o Ensure the hardware and infrastructure asset inventory is kept up to date

o Manage material receiving and inventory within the DC. Ensure stock levels of inventory is optimized to run operations

o Report weekly on Operational KPIs including costs vs budget

o Able to schedule DC operational activities and ensure the team meets schedule targets

o Organize risk management and prevention

o Act as the operational manager of information security(ROSI) and make sure documentation is kept up to date (security files, procedures, etc.)

o Perform audits in collaboration with the Quality team (27001/SOC/PCI DSS, etc.)

• Contribute to the development and performance of the datacenter

o Monitor and facilitate the key performance indicators (KPIs)

o Be customer centric and ensure services are delivered according to planned schedule

o Report weekly on DC infrastructure KPIs

o Set and manage the infrastructure budget

o Perform administrative management for the site (invoices, temporary contracts, activity reports, etc.)

o Work in partnership with the Project teams for datacenter extensions

o Maintain optimal relationships with local authorities and ensure compliance with local regulations

o Organize and carry out datacenter visits for customers

• Make sure service levels are upheld and guarantee operational improvement

o Ensure DC infrastructures and installations are of a high quality

o Identify, process and manage problems that have an impact on the security, reliability or maintainability of infrastructures

o Be a local force of continuous improvement by updating risk analysis and following action plans for correction and prevention

o Participate in deploying prototypes and communicate with the R&D teams to improve the product

o Help improve procedures and moderate the different suggestions from datacenter teams
