This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating logistics functions within the central kitchen and warehouse at Shiok Kitchen Catering. The Logistics Executive ensures the smooth and efficient operation of kitchen facilities, warehouse management, inventory control, and maintenance tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Premises Upkeep


•Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of shared kitchen areas (e.g. packing zone, beverage room, corridors).


•Perform basic maintenance tasks such as unboxing supplies, tidying storage areas, and reporting defects.


•Work with cleaners and part-time staff to ensure housekeeping standards are met.

Inventory Support


•Assist in tracking stock levels of packaging materials and disposable items.


•Support monthly inventory counts and help prepare basic inventory reports for the procurement team.


•Flag low stock items and assist with order follow-up.

Laundry & Equipment Upkeep


•Help monitor laundry flow (sorting, folding, storing).


•Track usage of small maintenance items (e.g. soap dispensers, bulbs).


•Report equipment issues promptly and assist with minor fixes if trained.

Packing & Takeaway Support


•Ensure takeaway orders (e.g. bentos) are packed correctly with all required items (cutlery, sauces, etc.).


•Support admin coordination for logistics partners (e.g. Lalamove pickups).


•Ensure packing areas are stocked and operational.

Warehouse Coordination


•Participate in fortnightly warehouse tidying sessions.


•Help organise inventory in storage and assist during stock takes.

Food Safety & Hygiene


•Check that staff wear proper PPE and follow hygiene protocols.


•Support hygiene checklist tracking and ensure proper filing of food safety certifications for part-time workers.

Operational Support


•Assist with scheduling part-time staff for logistics roles.


•Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. procurement, admin) to ensure operations run smoothly.


•Provide general support to the Manager in daily operations and during busy periods.

Ad Hoc Duties


•Assist in maintaining Halal documentation where applicable.


•Perform any additional administrative or operational tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS


•At least 1 year of experience in a logistics or warehouse management role, preferably in a kitchen or catering environment.


•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.


•Physically fit and able to handle the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


•Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.


•Basic knowledge of food safety practices and inventory management.


•Understanding and commitment to maintaining Halal certification standards.
