Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and Implementing Compliance Programs:

This includes creating policies and procedures for KYC/AML (Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering), sanction screening, and other compliance areas.
- Monitoring Transactions:

Utilizing blockchain analytics and other tools to detect and investigate suspicious or fraudulent activity.
- Staying Updated on Regulations:

Continuously monitoring changes in global and local regulations related to digital assets and blockchain technology, such as those in the EU and UK.
- Risk Assessment and Management:

Identifying potential compliance risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaboration:

Working with various teams (legal, product, engineering, etc.) to ensure compliance is integrated into the design and development of Web3 products and services.
- Training and Education:

Providing guidance and training to internal teams on compliance matters.
- Liaison with Regulators:

Interacting with regulatory bodies, auditors, and other stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
- Licensing and Regulatory Filings:

Managing the application process for necessary licenses and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Web3 and Blockchain: Familiarity with the underlying technology and concepts of Web3
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Frameworks: In-depth understanding of relevant laws and regulations, including AML, KYC, and other applicable rules.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex situations, identify potential risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders and convey complex information.
  • Experience in Financial Services or Fintech: Prior experience in a regulated financial environment can be beneficial.
  • Experience in Web3 is a plus: Working knowledge of Web3 and blockchain technologies will be beneficial.
