Team Introduction

In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payments team builds a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact on global scale across all ByteDance's business usecases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the lending product strategy and roadmap, with a focus on BNPL, cash loans, and merchant financing solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end build of lending platform products, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless user experience.
• Drive integration with payment processors, banks, and funding partners, balancing innovation with strict adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer behavior analysis to uncover growth opportunities and shape product innovation.
• Own the BNPL transaction lifecycle, from customer onboarding, credit decisioning, repayment flows, to dispute resolution.
• Partner with analytics teams to design performance dashboards, KPIs, and risk-monitoring tools to measure adoption, repayment rates, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with customer support and operations teams to ensure best-in-class issue resolution and service delivery for lending customers.
• Stay ahead of regulatory updates, fintech innovations, and lending best practices, applying them to strengthen product competitiveness and compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of product management experience in fintech, with proven expertise in BNPL, digital lending, payments, or embedded finance.
• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end lending product development, from credit policy design, repayment journeys, to merchant integration.
• Strong prior experience in partnership management experience with banks, PSPs, or financial institutions.
• Expert in data-driven product decision-making; familiarity with lending KPIs (e.g., approval rates, default rates, NPL, customer LTV).
• Prior experience managing global cross-functional teams (legal, compliance, engineering, risk, operations, customer service).
• Mandatory experience in People management especially within a Fintech or payments institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering results.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
