Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our healthcare team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that medical equipment and systems are safe, effective, and maintained to the highest standards to support patient care.


Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, calibrate, and maintain biomedical equipment such as imaging systems, life-support machines, laboratory devices, and surgical instruments.
  • Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and corrective action to ensure minimum equipment downtime.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and quality assurance checks in compliance with MOH regulations and hospital standards.
  • Manage equipment inventory, service contracts, spare parts, and warranty claims.
  • Support clinical staff in the safe use of biomedical equipment through training and guidance.
  • Participate in equipment evaluation, acceptance testing, and technology assessment for new purchases.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders for repair, upgrade, or replacement projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and audit schedules as required.
  • Contribute to process improvements and innovation in biomedical engineering practices.

Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in biomedical equipment maintenance (hospital/healthcare setting preferred).
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
