Senior Engineer, Maintenance (Electrical)

To plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as recommended by OEM, best industry practices or by experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and improving the documentation and other systems existing in the plant.
  • Monitoring and reviewing asset life expectancy.
  • Identifying and reporting on plant and equipment inefficiencies, proposing and implementing improvements.
  • Designing short-term engineering solutions that efficiently resolve problems in the plant.
  • Liaising with and providing technical support to operations and maintenance staff.
  • Managing and coordinating plant engineering projects, including plant overhauls, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of maintenance programs, including major overhauls, and providing information and advice in respect of Contractors' work performance.
  • Providing training for others in area of technical expertise.
  • Planning, maintaining, and procuring spares required for maintenance, including preparing budgets for the section.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements including the requirements of cybersecurity.
  • Responsible for coordination in maintaining ISO27001 and Cybersecurity Act 2018.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualifications. Qualifications recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore, are highly favored.
  • Familiarity with Variable Speed Drives, Generators, generator transformers, 230kV switchyard, LV/MV Switchgears, LT/HT Motors, Relays, Motorized Actuators, and good troubleshooting skills in electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in understanding electrical drawings and relevant software.
  • At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, with 3 years of supervisory experience, within a Power plant, process plant, or related industries.
  • Working experience in Singapore is required.

  • Location: Jurong Island
  • 5-day work week. Must be on standby after office hours to attend to Plant issues where necessary.
