Our client, a well-known firm is currently looking for a Japanese Speaking Demand and Supply Planner.

Brief Summary:

Join a dynamic team as a Demand and Supply Planner, where you'll partner with leadership to streamline forecasting and supply chain processes. Contribute to business success by ensuring product availability and optimal inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to drive the market S&OP process, delivering accurate forecasts and addressing budget discrepancies.
  • Develop rolling demand forecasts using statistical models and market trends across various levels, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
  • Manage the planning for product launches and re-launches while coordinating promotions, delistings, and phase-in/phase-out processes.
  • Develop and generate monthly Forecast Accuracy & Fill Rate report.
  • Conduct monthly Demand Reviews and monitor forecast accuracy to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Translate market demand into supply requirements, optimizing inventory levels and minimizing excess stock.
  • Identify supply management challenges, propose solutions, and communicate improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Create comprehensive monthly reports on forecast accuracy and supply chain KPIs, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration between local and regional/global planning teams in Japanese language, ensuring effective communication and swift resolution of supply chain disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong expertise in inventory planning and management, with a focus on ensuring product availability.
  • Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration and effective communication within teams.
  • Proficiency in Japanese to communicate and liaise with Japanese speaking counterparts and Japanese speaking clients.
