Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the transition of a new product from the design phase to mass production, ensuring quality, manufacturability, and timely launch.
- Project Management: Leading NPI projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources. Communicating project progress and results to stakeholders.
Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with design, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
Facilitating communication and collaboration between different departments. Providing feedback to design engineers on manufacturability issues.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Reviewing product designs for manufacturability and ease of assembly. Identifying potential manufacturing issues and recommending design changes.
- Process Development: Developing and documenting manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control procedures. Ensuring that processes are robust, repeatable, and efficient.
- Manufacturing Support: Overseeing and supporting pilot builds and production ramps. Identifying and resolving any manufacturing issues that arise during the transition. Supporting the selection and validation of tooling and equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that new products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Developing and implementing quality control plans. Participating in Failure
- Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other risk assessment processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Analyzing data to identify trends and areas for optimization.
- Any other tasks as assigned by Reporting Officer.
Requirements:
- The candidate must possess at least Degree in Engineering (Mechanical , Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent.
- At least 2 to 3 years of NPI Engineering in manufacturing industry .
- Knowledge and experience in high precision assembly or design.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes- direct experience in mechanics, electronics, control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics in semiconductor industry.
- Knowledge in Assembly of mechatronics systems, linear motors, sensors, servos, actuators, dynamics, controls, etc.
- Complex mechatronic systems for test and qualification of design changes.
- Exposure to multi-disciplinary projects, such as imaging/optical systems, semiconductor, or lithography preferred but not mandatory.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and able to perform root cause analysis & resolve problems on a conceptual and advanced trouble shooting level.
